Introducing E Series: Fully Hydraulic Breakers Join the DemaRock Lineup

DemaRock is expanding its breaker lineup with the E Series, giving contractors a fully hydraulic option alongside our established D Series. With seven models covering carriers from 10 to 80 metric tonnes, the E Series brings another way to match your breaker to the machine, material, and demands of the job.

The key distinction is how each series delivers its striking force: D Series breakers are nitrogen gas-fired, while E Series breakers are oil-fired, or fully hydraulic. Both series connect to the carrier’s hydraulic system.

Two Approaches to Delivering Impact

D Series: Nitrogen-Assisted Power

The D Series combines hydraulic power with a nitrogen gas chamber. Hydraulic pressure raises the piston and compresses the nitrogen. As the gas expands, it helps drive the piston downward to transfer impact energy to the working tool.

The nitrogen acts as an energy store within the striking mechanism. Maintaining the correct nitrogen charge is part of the service routine, along with lubrication and inspections of the hydraulic system, tool, and wear components.

E Series: Fully Hydraulic Power

The E Series uses hydraulic oil pressure to drive the piston and deliver the blow. Its design eliminates the nitrogen-filled piston chamber used to assist the striking action, removing the need to refill that chamber.

The E Series brochure also lists a separate accumulator on every model. This distinction matters: the fully hydraulic striking mechanism and the accumulator are different parts of the system. Maintenance should follow the requirements for the specific model and component.

Shock-absorbing modules are designed to reduce vibration during operation. The range is intended for primary and secondary demolition, trenching, tunnelling, and boulder breaking.

Impact energy, efficiency, and total cost depend on the complete setup. Comparing individual model specifications gives a more useful picture than assuming that the operating principle alone determines performance.

Meet the E Series Range

The lineup includes E100, E120, E135, E150, E160, E170, and E190. Together, they cover:

  • Carrier weights: 10–80 metric tonnes
  • Tool diameters: 100–190 mm
  • Oil flow requirements: 70–380 L/min across the range

These are overall lineup ranges. Each model has its own permitted carrier weight, oil flow, and operating pressure. For example, the E100 is specified for 10–15-tonne carriers, while the E190 covers 45–80-tonne carriers.
